Guideline on e-Payment

To provide an easier and more user friendly payment option to our customer(s), the service function of Electronic-Payment (e-Payment) will be launched by Macao Network Information Centre (hereinafter MONIC). The main targets are the clients who submit the Domain Name Application, Submission on Annual Fee for Domain Name and Domain Name Renewal Application. Each transaction is only applicable for payment amounts MOP200.

The system is a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), serves as a platform in network security transaction through Macao Postal Savings (CEP). During the transaction, your card number and the relevant data will be entirely encrypted and will not be saved in MONIC database for ensuring the safety of transaction. Payment shall be made online using Visa or MasterCard, UnionPay Online Payment system or other payment tools accepted by the E-Payment Platform of Macao Postal Savings.


Domain Name Application

1. Customer can apply the domain name registration and submit the required necessary information or documents within the MONIC website. If the domain name registration(s) meet with the requirement in the Regulation, an email notification with subject “Please submit registration fee” will be sent to the email address customer provided to notify the submitting of domain name registration fee. (Please refer “Guideline on Domain Name Registration of the Macao Special Administrative Region” for detailed information.)

2. Meanwhile, click on the tab “Paid” under “My Register Requests” function for online payment. Press “Paid” and enter the e-Payment Guideline, read and agree with the Terms and Conditions on Electronic Payment Services, and confirm if there is no other amendment before immediately go to “Online Payment”. Customer is going to leave MONIC page and enter the e-Payment system of the Macao Postal Savings to continue the payment process.

3. After entering the Electronic Payment Platform of Macao Postal Savings, please select a suitable “Payment Method”, fill in the credit card number and other relevant information for online payment. Customer will then be directed to MONIC website and the result of the payment will be shown accordingly, the receipt page can also be printed for record.

4. If the transaction is successful, the email address customer provided will receive an email notification with subject "Transaction Confirmation Receipt" issued by the Macao Postal Savings and "Transaction Confirmation Receipt" issued by MONIC. If domain name registration is approved, an email notification with subject “Domain Name Registration Approved” will be sent to the email address customer provided. However, if payment failed, no charge will be made. The system will also automatically cancel the payment related record and provide a suggestion to customer for retrying the payment action.

5. If our Centre cannot receive the application fee, within eight days from the date of the email sent described in point 1. The Application might be cancelled without further notice.


Submission on Annual Fee for Domain Name:

1. Fee is charged on a yearly basis, customer shall submit the annual fee of MOP200.00, count from the date of the domain name registration and must submit the payment within the sixty days before the expiry each year.

2. Within the period of submitting fee, click on the tab “Paid” under “My Domain” function for online payment. Press “Paid” and enter the e-Payment Guideline, read and agree with the Terms and Conditions on Electronic Payment Services, and confirm if there is no other amendment before immediately go to “Online Payment”. Customer is going to leave MONIC page and enter the e-Payment system of the Macao Postal Savings to continue the payment process.

3. After entering the Electronic Payment Platform of Macao Postal Savings, please select a suitable “Payment Method”, fill in the credit card number and other relevant information for online payment. Customer will then be directed to MONIC website and the result of the payment will be shown accordingly, the receipt page can also be printed for record.

4. If the transaction is successful, the email address customer provided will receive an email notification with subject "Transaction Confirmation Receipt" issued by the Macao Postal Savings and "Transaction Confirmation Receipt" issued by MONIC. If domain name registration is approved, an email notification with subject “Domain Name Registration Approved” will be sent to the email address customer provided. However, if payment failed, no charge will be made. The system will also automatically cancel the payment related record and provide a suggestion to customer for retrying the payment action.

5. If the payment is not submitted within the stated period, the domain name registration will be immediate suspended for a maximum period of sixty days. During the suspended period, customer can also choose to use the e-Payment method, the domain name holder who has reached the expiry date and has not submitted the renewal fee, the domain name registration will be cancelled with immediate effect.


Domain Name Renewal Application:

1. The domain name registration is valid for three years; customer shall apply for renewal application every three years. Within sixty days before the expiry date of the domain name registration, choose the domain name(s) under “My Domain” for submitting renewal application and requesting e-Payment. If the domain name renewal meets with the requirement in the Regulation, an email notification with subject "Domain Name Renewal Waiting For e-Payment" will be sent to the registered email address to notify the submitting of domain name renewal fee. (Please refer “Guideline on Domain Name Registration of the Macao Special Administrative Region” for detailed information.)

2. Meanwhile, click on the tab “Paid” under “My Renew Requests” function for online e-Payment. Press “Paid” and enter the e-Payment Guideline, read and agree with the Terms and Conditions on Electronic Payment Services, and confirm if there is no other amendment before immediately go to “Online Payment”. Customer is going to leave MONIC page and enter the e-Payment system of the Macao Postal Savings to continue the payment process.
